Summer Sound Gisborough Priory

Senstion travelled up north to perform at the Summer Sound Festival for the 2nd year running. This year the event was at the incredible Gisborough Priory. Gisborough Priory is a ruined Augustinian priory in Guisborough. It was founded in 1119 as the Priory of St Mary. It became one of the richest monastic foundations in England. Much of the Romanesque Norman priory was destroyed in a fire in 1289. It was rebuilt in the Gothic style on a grander scale over the following century. Its remains are regarded as among the finest surviving examples of early Gothic architecture in England.

The band performed in front of the stunning ruins of the priory church to a energetic crowd of festival goers. It may have been a wet evening but the band and audience sure had a fantastic time.
